Köln, 11. März 2010 ? Am 10. Juni 2010 erscheint das Musikvideospiel Green Day: Rock Band für Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 und Nintendo Wii. Das Spiel ermöglicht es den Musikfans, auf der Bühne in die Rolle von Green Day zu schlüpfen. Die mehrfach mit Platin und Grammys ausgezeichnete Band, löste das Punk-Pop-Revival aus und prägt weiterhin die Rockmusik des 21. Jahrhunderts. Spieler erleben als Green Day-Mitglieder Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt und Tré Cool den Werdegang von Green Day und erhalten Zugriff auf das Medienarchiv der Band, wo sie über 100 Bilder zum Sammeln und mehr als 40 Minuten seltene und bisher unveröffentlichte Videoaufnahmen aus Interviews, Outtakes und Auftritten freischalten können. 

Green Day: Rock Band verfügt über dieselbe Technologie für dreistimmigen Harmoniegesang, die Harmonix bei The Beatles: Rock Band vorgestellt hat, und gewährt Spielern Zugang zu einer Setliste von 47 Songs aus der gesamten Karriere der Band, darunter ?Brain Stew?, ?Jaded?, ?Hitchin? a Ride?, ?American Idiot?, ?Wake Me Up When September Ends? und ?Boulevard of Broken Dreams.? Alle 47 Songs können vollständig in Rock Band, Rock Band 2 und das kürzlich angekündigten Rock Band 3 exportiert werden. Außerdem können die sechs Songs von Green Day, die im Rock Band Music Store bereits als Inhalte zum Herunterladen verfügbar sind, in Green Day: Rock Band mit zusätzlichem Harmoniegesang, einzigartigen Effekten beim Auftritt und exklusivem Archivmaterial gespielt werden.  Das Spiel ist mit sämtlichen Rock Band Controllern sowie den meisten Guitar Hero und anderen Musikspiel-Peripheriegeräten und -Mikrofonen kompatibel.
